Waseem Camroodeen
Waseem Camroodeen was born on 11th September 1982 & has lived his entire life in Lenasia. He schooled at Greyville Primary & Lenasia Secondary, attaining several distinctions & impressive matric results in the year 2000. He then commenced studying & training to become a South African Commercial Pilot, a feat he successfully achieved in April 2006, & followed this up by attaining the more advanced South African Frozen Airline Transport Pilot's License in November 2007. Due to limited opportunities within the SA airline industry, as well as a reluctance to relocate overseas & the sudden incapacitating illness of his dad (Waheed Camroodeen founder of Lenasia Times newspaper in 1976), Waseem decided to take over from him in the role of Chief Editor & has found great joy in this line of community-orientated work, where through this powerful media platform, has helped numerous beneficial community initiatives by providing it exposure & augmenting awareness.
